Event overview
The 2026 Walk, Run, Read for Literacy is scheduled for Saturday, September 19, 2026 in Coeur d'Alene City Park at 415 W Fort Grounds Dr, Coeur d'Alene, ID 83814. This is the event's fifth annual edition. The event supports The Literacy Project of North Idaho, a volunteer-driven 501(c)(3). The organizer states that 100% of race proceeds go directly to local adult literacy and English language programs.

Course and on-site features
The 5K begins in Coeur d'Alene City Park and follows an out-and-back route along the Idaho Centennial Trail toward Post Falls, with a turnaround just before the Highway 95 bridge. Water stations are provided along the 5K route. The Kids Dash uses a loop course inside the park. On-site activities include an annual book swap and sale (books from $1), games and other family activities.
