Spring Dash - Coeur d'Alene, Idaho
The Spring Dash is an annual running event and fundraiser for United Way North Idaho held in Coeur d'Alene at McEuen Park. The event offers multiple distances and a youth Tot Trot, with courses on paved out-and-back routes that start and finish at the Avista Pavilion.
Distances
- 5K
- 10K
- Half marathon
- Tot Trot for children
The 5K, 10K and half marathon courses are USATF certified. The 10K and half marathon use long sections of the North Idaho Centennial Trail. Course descriptions note aid stations with water, Gatorade and toilets at several milepoints. Course difficulty is described as easy for the 5K, easy with one moderate hill for the 10K, and moderate for the half marathon because of distance and hills. The half marathon includes timing points for standard splits and has eligibility guidance by age.
Race features include personalized race bibs for early registrants, gender specific technical shirts for early registrants, custom finisher medals for the 5K/10K/half marathon, overall and age group awards, live GPS participant tracking, group discounts and a youth discount for ages 16 and under in the 5K and 10K. The Tot Trot is an untimed loop in McEuen Park with lap assignments by age and finisher ribbons for all participants.
Packet pickup is available the day before at Sportsman & Ski Haus and at the McEuen Park start/finish area on event day. Online registration closes April 24 and there is no race day registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
