Event information
The Spring Dash takes place on April 25, 2026 in McEuen Park, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. The event is an annual fundraiser for United Way North Idaho and is managed and timed by Cascadia Sports Timing. Distances offered include:
- 5K - USATF certified; includes a 1/3 mile loop in McEuen Park
- 10K - USATF certified; Bloomsday Run second-seed qualifier
- Half Marathon - USATF certified; about 70% on the North Idaho Centennial Trail
- Tot Trot - untimed kids event; open to ages 1 to 10
Course and logistics
All main courses are out-and-back on paved surfaces with the start and finish at McEuen Park's Avista Pavilion. The 10K and half marathon use long sections of the North Idaho Centennial Trail. The half marathon includes a gradual climb near Bennett Bay and is rated moderate due to distance and hills. Courses have aid stations with water, Gatorade and toilet facilities at multiple points.
Online registration closes April 24 and there is no race day registration. Packet pickup is available the day before at Sportsman & Ski Haus and at the McEuen Park start area on race day. All finishers in the 5K, 10K and half marathon receive finisher medals; Tot Trot participants receive a finisher ribbon. Overall and age group awards are presented for the timed races.
