Hauser Lake Icebreaker Run 5k/10k

The Hauser Lake Icebreaker Run is an annual community running event on April 18, 2026, held around Hauser Lake in Hauser, Idaho. The event raises funds for special needs dogs in the care of Double J Dog Ranch; 100 percent of proceeds benefit the ranch. Walkers and dogs are welcome; participants with dogs are asked to start at the back of the pack.

Races take place on paved roads and are chip timed. The 10 km course is USA Track & Field certified and is a Bloomsday Second Seed qualifier. Early packet pickup is scheduled on April 11 at Fleet Feet Coeur d'Alene, and same-day registration and packet pickup are held at the Fire Station. A medal ceremony follows the event, with finisher medals for all participants and bandanas for dogs. The event also includes a raffle, plus food and a coffee truck. Virtual participants receive their shirt and race number by mail. Registration opened April 20, 2025 and closes February 26, 2026; the registration fee is $35.
