Walk & Roll Chicago
Walk & Roll Chicago supports the American Cancer Society's efforts to save lives from cancer. The event takes place in Chicago and includes multiple ways to participate along Chicago's Lakefront Path.
Participants can choose from these distances:
- 5K walk and timed run
- 10K skate
- 15K bike
The event offers categories for adults, adult cancer survivors, youth, and fundraiser only participants. Adult categories list registration fees for some participation types while many youth entries and the adult cancer survivor participation types have no registration fee. Age guidelines in the participant descriptions indicate adults are 18 and older and youth are 17 and under.
Registration opens on 2026-08-24. Registration deadlines vary by participation type; several adult entries have earlier closing dates while survivor and youth categories show later closing dates. There is a fundraiser only participation type for adults that carries a registration fee and does not offer a virtual option. A fundraiser only option for adult cancer survivors is offered without a registration fee and also does not include a virtual option.
The event description clarifies that the survivor participation types are intended for people who have personally faced cancer and asks registrants to select those options only if that reflects their experience. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
