Walk in the Park - Kamloops

Walk in the Park is a grassroots trail race held in Kenna Cartwright Park in Kamloops, British Columbia. The event was founded in 1992 and offers multiple distance options.

The course winds through rolling single and double-track trails among sagebrush and forest. There are some steep sections and minimal shade. Expect around 860 m of elevation gain per lap and typically warm conditions in September. The route provides views of the city and surrounding valleys.

Registration closes on Fri Sep 4 at 11:59 PM PT. The event has a no refund policy; deferrals may be considered under special circumstances up to two months before race day. Bibs are non-transferable. Runners may drop down in distance at no cost until registration closes; moving up in distance is not permitted once registered. If the event is cancelled for weather, fires, or other unforeseen circumstances, participants may choose a deferral to the following year valid for one year or a 50% refund of the registration fee.

Volunteers support course marking, aid stations, sweeps, and start/finish operations. Registered volunteers receive a free post-race BBQ and are included in door prize draws. Pricing increases as the event approaches. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
