Course and conditions
The course uses rolling single-track and double-track trails through sagebrush and forest. The route offers views of the city and surrounding valleys. There are some steep sections and minimal shade. Organizers state about 860 m of elevation gain per lap. Warm September weather is possible. Course maps and updated course information are available on the Sole Pursuit Running website.
Policies and volunteering
The cancellation policy states no refunds after registration. Deferrals may be considered under special circumstances at the Race Director’s discretion up to two months before race day. Sold-out distances will not have additional spots added. Bibs are non-transferable. Runners may drop down in distance at no cost until registration closes; moving up is not permitted after registering. If the event is canceled for weather, fires, or similar reasons, participants may choose a one-year deferral to the following year or a 50% refund of registration cost.
Volunteers support course marking, aid stations, sweeps, and start/finish support. Registered volunteers receive a free post-race BBQ and are included in door prize draws. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
