Walk in the Park
Walk in the Park is a grassroots trail race held in Kenna Cartwright Park, Kamloops, BC, known for its scenic views of the city and surrounding valleys. Established in 1992, it is one of British Columbia’s longest-running ultra trail events, offering three distances: 14 km, 25 km, and 50 km. The course features rolling single and double-track trails through sagebrush and forest, with some steep sections and minimal shade, challenging runners with approximately 860 meters of elevation gain per lap.
The race fosters a welcoming, community-focused atmosphere, suitable for both beginners and experienced runners, and includes a post-race BBQ for participants and volunteers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
