Walk in the Park in Kamloops
Walk in the Park is a grassroots trail race held at Kenna Cartwright Park in Kamloops, British Columbia on September 6, 2026. Founded in 1992, the event offers multiple distances and runs on rolling single and double-track trails through sagebrush and forest.
The course includes some steep sections and provides minimal shade in places. Expect approximately 860 m of elevation gain per lap. The event is organized as a multi-distance trail race with options intended for a range of runners.

Registration and cancellation policy highlights: no refunds after registration. Deferrals may be considered up to two months before the event at the race director's discretion. Bibs are non-transferable. Runners may drop down in distance at no cost while registration remains open. If the event is cancelled due to weather, fires, or other unforeseen circumstances, participants may choose a deferral valid for one year or a 50% refund of the registration fee.
Volunteering roles include course marking, aid station support, sweep duties, and start/finish assistance. Registered volunteers receive a post-race barbecue and are included in door prize draws. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
