Walk! For Your Life : Lafayette
Audubon Family Medicine is hosting Walk! For Your Life, a walk only 5K on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at Moncus Park in Lafayette, Louisiana. The course uses a one mile loop so participants may stop after one mile, two miles, or complete the full 5K (3.1 miles). The walk is not timed; walkers are asked to finish the course within 1 hour and 45 minutes.
The event emphasizes movement and community engagement and includes music, complimentary smoothies, access to food trucks, and sponsor booths. Registration includes a race bib, a T shirt, a nylon bag, and additional amenities. Registration fees are $18 for adults and $5 for children aged 17 and under. T shirt sizes are guaranteed for participants who register before September 10.
Safety measures include required race bibs, staff monitoring at the front and back of the group, and hydration stations two times on the loop plus one at the pavilion. Each participant who completes the 5K will be entered into a raffle with prizes ranging from $1,500 down to smaller merchandise or gift cards. Parking at Moncus Park is paid with tiered fees by duration, and packet pick up is available at the clinic location and on the day of the walk.
