Cajun Country Run : Acadiana Park, Lafayette, LA
Cajun Country Run is a multi-distance road and trail event held at Acadiana Park in Lafayette, Louisiana. The event began in 2002 and became a primary supporter of T.R.A.I.L. in 2010. Proceeds have funded land additions and trail improvements at Acadiana Park and the Nature Station.

Course notes: the half marathon is an all-road single loop with three small climbs under 20 feet and multiple water stations. The 10K road route is primarily asphalt with about two miles of packed gravel and a couple of small climbs. The trail races mix cross country and single-track sections; the 10K trail includes technical stretches along the Vermilion River.
Awards and extras: custom alligator head trophies are presented in several overall and masters categories. Finishers receive medals. A Santa costume contest and Santa Claus divisions are part of the awards program. Packet pickup and shuttle parking are organized to serve participants and reduce on-site parking at Acadiana Park.
