The Cajun Country Run takes place on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Acadiana Park, 1205 E. Alexander St., Lafayette, LA 70501. The event offers multiple race options on road and trail. Road distances include a half marathon, a 10k and a 5k. Trail distances include a 10k and a 5k. A one-mile Fun Run is also listed.

The half marathon is a single-loop road course and is USATF certified. The 10k road course is also USATF certified.
Courses, history and logistics
Trail courses combine cross country and single-track sections. The 10k trail includes technical sections along the banks of the Vermilion River. The event began in 2002 and became a primary supporter of TRAIL in 2010. Proceeds have helped TRAIL purchase property for Acadiana Park & Nature Station and fund improvements to the mountain bike trail system.
Primary parking is at David Thibodaux STEM Magnet Academy (805 Teurlings Dr.). The start is about a half-mile from that main parking area; organizers note limited parking near Acadiana Park and advise using Willow St. for access when Alexander St. and Teurlings Dr. are closed. Homemade alligator head trophies and a Santa costume contest are part of the event features. Packet pickup and detailed maps are provided on the race website.
