Walk for the Red 5K

The Walk for the Red 5K is a fundraising event. All proceeds from the event benefit firefighters who have been diagnosed with cancer.

The event takes place at River Bends Park in Shelby Township, Michigan. The 5K course consists of a combination of paved path and trail. The event is open to both runners and walkers, and participants are timed using a banded chip.

Registration is available in two options: a 5K Run/Walk With Event Shirt and a 5K Run/Walk Without Event Shirt. Event shirts may also be purchased on-site, but quantities and sizes are limited.
