Walk For The Red 5K
Walk For The Red is the 2nd annual 5K run and walk held in Shelby Township, Michigan, organized to support firefighters affected by cancer and to fund prevention efforts within the fire community. The event donates all proceeds to those causes.
The course combines paved park paths and trail sections. Timing is done with a banded chip, and all finishers receive an event medal. Event shirts are available as part of one registration option and will also be sold on site while supplies and sizes last on a first come first serve basis.
There are two registration options with different fees and shirt inclusion:
- 3.1 Miles (5K)
Check in takes place at Hickory Grove Pavilion near the 22 Mile entrance of River Bends Park, 5700 22 Mile Road, Shelby Township, MI 48317. The event is presented in partnership with Neighbors United and sponsored by DetroitDecal&Apparel.
Registration details such as fees are provided for each entry option. The event notes that timing and medals are part of the official results and participant recognition. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
