Shelby Township Jingle Bell Run
The 16th annual Shelby Township Jingle Bell Run takes place on December 13, 2026 at Burgess-Shadebush Nature Center in River Bends Park. The event offers a choice between a timed and an untimed 5K; the course measures 3.1 Miles, is described as well marked and accurate, and post-race snacks are provided. All participants receive an event shirt and there are over $2,500 in raffle prizes.
Registration opens June 4, 2026 and closes October 25, 2026. The registration fee is $35.00. Early packet pickup and registration are available on Saturday, December 12 at Hanson's Running Shop in Utica on Hall Road. Signs at the park direct participants to the Hamlin/Ryan Road Entrance for parking and check-in.
The timed 5K is eligible for awards. Prizes include overall male and female, masters male and female, and senior masters male and female distinctions, with medals awarded to the top three finishers in each age group.
Proceeds from the event benefit several local organizations, including Penrickton Center for Blind Children, Macomb County Special Olympics, Cat Tail Acres, Great Lakes Burn Center, and K9 Rescue. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
