Event Overview
The Walk/5K for LIFE Family Resource Center is a fundraising event held at Paoli Community Park in Paoli, Indiana. This event supports the LIFE Family Resource Center, a non-profit organization that provides services such as pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, and parenting education to families. The proceeds from the registration fees and optional purchases contribute directly to the funding of these free community services.
Participants can choose between two primary event distances:
- 5K Walk/Run
- 1 Mile Walk/Run
Course and Participation
The events take place within the grounds of Paoli Community Park. For the 5K event, participants are categorized into several age divisions for scoring: 0-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and up. There is a corporate team option for groups of 10 or more participants, which offers a registration discount if completed by the designated team deadline.
Recognition and Amenities
Awards are presented for both distances. For the 5K Run, awards are given to the overall top male and female finishers, as well as the top two male and female finishers in each age group. For the 1 Mile Run, recognition is provided to the overall top male and female winners.
Participants have the option to purchase an event T-shirt during the registration process, provided they sign up before the cutoff date at the end of July.
