Walk for Life + 5K
Walk for Life + 5K is a community event held on October 10, 2026 at the Opelika Sportsplex in Opelika, Alabama. The program includes two distances:
- 5K
- 1 mile
The event is organized by Women’s Hope Medical Clinic. Registration details vary by event: 5K pre-registration is $30, race day registration for the 5K is $50, the Walk for Life has a $10 registration fee, and the 1 mile kids walk has no fee for children 12 and under. Registration opens August 10, 2026; registration close dates differ by event and include early October deadlines.
Race day packet pickup and on-site registration take place at the Opelika Sportsplex. Water and sports drink will be available approximately every 1.5 miles along the course. Parking is provided at the Sportsplex.
Awards are given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place overall in male and female categories; awards must be collected at the event. Final official results will be posted within 48 hours after the race. The organizer notes that the registration deadline to be guaranteed a t-shirt has passed and that only very limited shirt sizes remain. Refunds are not allowed for this event.
