Wales Adventure Triathlon 2026 - Brecon Beacons
The Wales Adventure Triathlon is a two day endurance event set in the Brecon Beacons around Pen y Fan, taking place from 11th to 13th September 2026. The event is limited to 30 participants and combines water, cycling and mountain sections with a range of outdoor activities on the second day.
Day 1 features timed individual stages including:
- 2 miles seated SUP paddle around Pontsticill Reservoir
- 47 miles bike ride through Brecon Beacons countryside
- 13 miles Pen y Fan run and hike finishing back at the lodge
Day 2 includes a programme of guided outdoor experiences: gorge walking with river sections, a Penderyn distillery tour with a sample, caving visits, and a climb plus a 100m zip wire.
Practical arrangements are included in the entry: two nights shared lodge accommodation (four people per room), weekend meals (three evening meals, two lunches, two breakfasts), GPS tracking, bike and hike support, photography and video, event clothing including sponsored tri suits and an event T shirt, insurance, race medal and finisher goodie pack. Participants must provide their own bike, helmet and basic kit as listed by organisers. Entry fee is £475 with a £100 deposit to secure a place and the remaining balance required by 6th April 2026. A minimum fundraising target of £500 per person applies.
