Wakefield Hospice 10K : 22 March 2026
The Wakefield Hospice 10K is held in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, and is organised by Wakefield Hospice. The road course is 10 kilometres, flat and run over one lap. The event has a race licence (30183), an entry limit of 2,500 and is listed as suitable for wheelchairs. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers and there are age category awards from V35 to V70+. Official pacers cover finishing times from 40 to 75 minutes. Every finisher receives a bespoke Wakefield Hospice t-shirt.
Entry, facilities and rules
Early bird entry fees are £20.00 for affiliated runners and £22.00 for unaffiliated runners. Refunds are available up to 28 days before the event and places may be transferred to another runner up to 14 days before the event. If the event is cancelled and an alternative date cannot be arranged, the entrance fee will be donated to Wakefield Hospice. Race HQ is at Thornes Park, Horbury Road WF2 8TY. On the day there are water stations, distance markers, toilets, changing facilities, a baggage store and no showers. Additional services include food and drink, physio, commentary, prize giving, a property tent and medical services. Participants agree to the event terms, to share medical information with medical services on the day, and to the use of event photographs for marketing.
