Wakefield Hospice 10K, Wakefield, 14 March 2027
The Wakefield Hospice 10K is a road race of 10 km organised by Wakefield Hospice to raise funds for patient care. The 2027 edition marks the event's 30th anniversary; entrants may choose a symbolic £30 entry option. Entry fees range from £22 to £30 and the field is limited to 2750 places, with 1808 places remaining at the time of listing. A race licence has been applied for. The course is a single flat road lap and is stated as suitable for wheelchairs.
Official pacers cover target times from 40 to 75 minutes. Prizes are awarded to the first three male and female finishers and there are age-category awards. An exclusive 30th anniversary finisher t-shirt is listed among the event items.
Race HQ is at Thornes Park, Horbury Road, Wakefield WF2 8TY. Facilities include water, distance markers, toilets, changing and baggage storage; there are no showers. On the day there will be food and drink, physio, commentary, prize giving, a property tent and medical services. Parking is listed at Trinity Cathedral Academy, Penny Appeal Campus Thornes Park and Westgate Retail & Leisure Park.
Refunds are available up to 28 days before the event; transfers close three weeks beforehand and refunds cannot be processed after that time. Photographers will be present and photographs may be used by Wakefield Hospice. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
