Wakefield Hospice 10K
The Wakefield Hospice 10K takes place in Wakefield on 22 March 2026 and is organised by Wakefield Hospice to raise funds for patient care. The event includes a 10 km road race and is presented alongside a 5 km option on the same day.
The course is a single-lap, flat road route and is described as suitable for wheelchairs. Official pacers are provided with target times from 40 to 75 minutes. Prizes are offered for the top three male and female finishers and for age categories from V35 to V70+. Every finisher receives a bespoke Wakefield Hospice t-shirt.
Entry is limited to 2,500 places. Entry fees are listed as £22.00 for affiliated runners and £24.00 for unaffiliated runners; entry on the day is not available. Refunds are available up to 28 days before the event; refunds or transfers are not available within 21 days of the event.
Race headquarters is at Thornes Park, Horbury Road, Wakefield WF2 8TY. On-event facilities include water stations, distance markers, toilets, changing facilities, a baggage store and medical services. Parking is available at nearby locations such as Trinity Cathedral Academy and Westgate Retail and Leisure Park.
