Event Information

The Wakefield Hospice 10K is a road race held in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, to raise funds for patient care at Wakefield Hospice. The event takes place on Sunday, 22 March 2026, starting from Thornes Park. The course is a single-lap, flat route over a 10-kilometer distance. It has an entry limit of 2750 participants.

On the Day

Facilities include water stations, distance markers, toilets, changing facilities, and a baggage store. Parking is available at several nearby locations, including Trinity Cathedral Academy and Westgate Retail & Leisure Park. On event day, there will be food & drink, water, physio services, commentary, a prize-giving ceremony, a property tent, and medical services.

Awards & Participation

Official pacers will be available for finish times ranging from 40 to 75 minutes. Prizes are awarded for the top 3 male and female finishers, as well as age category awards from V35 to V70+. Every finisher receives a bespoke Wakefield Hospice t-shirt.

Entry Details

Entry fees are £24.00 for unaffiliated runners and £22.00 for affiliated runners. Refunds are available up to 28 days before the event. A place can be transferred to another runner up to 14 days before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
