Wakefield Hospice 10K 2027
The Wakefield Hospice 10K takes place on Sunday 14 March 2027 in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. The event is organised by Wakefield Hospice to raise funds for patient care at the hospice.
The race is a 10 kilometre road event on a flat, single-lap course. The race is licenced (application submitted) and is noted as suitable for wheelchairs. Entry is limited to 2,750 places; 1,958 places remained at the time of listing.
Facilities at Race HQ in Thornes Park, Horbury Road include water, distance markers, toilets, changing facilities and baggage storage; showers are not provided. Parking is available at Trinity Cathedral Academy, Penny Appeal Campus Thornes Park and Westgate Retail & Leisure Park. On the day there will be food and drink, physio, commentary, a prize giving and a property tent.
Entry fees include race and admin charges. Early bird prices listed were £22 for affiliated runners and £24 for unaffiliated runners; a commemorative £30 option was offered to mark the 30th anniversary. Entry on the day is not available. Refunds are available up to 28 days before the event; transfers close three weeks prior and refunds cannot be processed after that time. If the event is cancelled and no alternative date can be arranged, entry fees will be donated to Wakefield Hospice.
Official pacers covering target times between 40 and 75 minutes will be present. Awards include prizes for the top three male and female finishers, age category awards and a 30th anniversary finisher t-shirt.
