The Wakefield Hospice 10K is a road race held in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, organised by Wakefield Hospice to raise funds for patient care. The event is a single-lap, flat 10 km course and the organiser has applied for a race licence. The field is limited to 2,750 entries.
Entry fees are shown from £22.00 to £30.00, with a symbolic £30 option to mark the race's 30th anniversary. Official pacers are provided with target times from 40 to 75 minutes. Facilities at the Race HQ in Thornes Park, Horbury Road, Wakefield WF2 8TY include water, distance markers, toilets, changing facilities, baggage storage and on-the-day food and drink. There are no showers. Parking is available at several nearby locations. Medical services, physio, race commentary, a property tent and race photographers are present.
Refunds are available up to 28 days before the event; transfers close three weeks prior and no refunds or transfers are permitted within 21 days of the race. If the event is cancelled and no alternative date is arranged, entry fees may be donated to Wakefield Hospice. Participants agree that event photographs may be used for marketing and publicity.
