Event Details

The Waggin' Wild 5k & Fun Run takes place in Greensboro, North Carolina. The event is held at Bur-Mil Park, located at 5834 Bur-Mill Club Rd. The date is Saturday, March 7, 2026.

Distances

The event offers two distances:

Waggin' Wild 5K
Waggin' Wild Fun Run 1-miler

Both events start on a paved greenway near the park's Wildlife Center. The 5K is a chip-timed race.

Registration and Fees

Registration fees vary. For the 5K, listed prices range from $25 to $40. For the Fun Run, listed prices range from $25 to $30. Participants who register by February 23rd are guaranteed a t-shirt. Early registrants also receive a race bag.

Packet and t-shirt pickup is available on the Thursday and Friday before the race at specified local stores, as well as on race day from 9:00 AM.

Participant Information

The event is designed to support local pet rescue and spay/neuter programs. Leashed dogs are welcome to participate with their owners. Specific rules for dogs apply, including a maximum 6-foot leash (no retractable leashes), current vaccinations, and the requirement to clean up after them.

After the race, there will be awards, prizes, food, and drinks. Awards are given to top human finishers in various categories and to the top three dogs that finish the 5K.
