Wagfest Leashes and Laces 2 Mile Run/Walk
This is a non-timed 2-mile run/walk taking place on September 26, 2026, in Albemarle, North Carolina. The route begins and ends at Wagfest at Market Station and follows the Robert F. Snyder Greenway for a family-friendly two-mile course.
Distances and divisions:
- 2-Legs Division (Hooman only) - 2 miles
- 6-Legs Division (Hooman + pupper) - 2 miles
Registration details differ by division: registration for the 2-Legs Division opens June 17, 2026; registration for the 6-Legs Division opens June 23, 2026. Both divisions close registration on September 1, 2026. The registration fee is $30.00 for the 2-Legs Division and $35.00 for the 6-Legs Division. The 2-Legs registration includes an event T-shirt. The 6-Legs registration includes an event T-shirt and a bandana for the four-legged teammate.
Following the course, Wagfest activities include pup cups, food vendors, games, live music, shopping, and other dog-friendly offerings. All proceeds benefit the Stanly County Humane Society. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
