Wagfest Leashes and Laces 2 Mile Walk/Run
Wagfest Leashes and Laces is a non-timed 2-mile community walk/run held at Wagfest at Market Station in Albemarle, North Carolina. The course follows the Robert F. Snyder Greenway and begins and ends at the Wagfest site. The event takes place on September 26, 2026.
There are two entry divisions. The "2-Legs Division (Hooman Only)" is for individual human participants and includes an official event T-shirt; registration for this division opens June 17 and closes September 18, with a registration fee of $30. The "6-Legs Division (Hooman + Pupper)" allows a human and their dog to participate together and includes an event T-shirt for the human and a commemorative bandana for the dog; registration for this division opens June 23 and closes September 18, with a registration fee of $35.
Post-event activities at Wagfest include pup cups, food vendors, games, live music, shopping, and other dog-friendly programming. All proceeds benefit the Stanly County Humane Society to support local animal welfare efforts. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
