Wag & Walk 5K to Benefit the Etowah Valley Humane Society
The Wag & Walk 5K is scheduled for Saturday, May 2, 2026 in Cartersville, Georgia. The event is the seventh annual edition and benefits the Etowah Valley Humane Society. The route circles the Milam Farm property and is a USATF certified 5K course with Peachtree qualifier status (GA18023WC).
Both the start and finish are located at the entrance to the Sam Smith Soccer Complex behind Cartersville Middle School, off Milner Road near the intersection with Walnut Grove Road. There is event parking within the Cartersville Soccer Complex parking lot. Dogs are permitted to run with participants but must be kept on a leash.
Registration information is published for two rates: a pre-race registration fee of $30 through April 27, 2026 and a race day registration fee of $40. Pre-race packet pick-up for registered participants is scheduled for Friday, May 1 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Big Peach Running Co., Cartersville, 402 E. Church St., Suite 107.
Awards will be given to top overall male and female finishers, top masters male and female, and the top three male and female finishers in standard age categories from 10 and under through 70 and over.
