Wadjemup Rottnest Running Festival
The Wadjemup Rottnest Running Festival is a multi-distance running event held on Rottnest Island (Wadjemup). The festival includes a full marathon, half-marathon, 10 km and 5 km road races plus a 300 m kids dash. The marathon is run as four laps around the island. Bagpipes mark the start ceremonies.
This is the 32nd edition of the festival. The Royal Flying Doctor Service is the event charity partner. Event sponsors include Rottnest Island Authority, Rottnest Express, Sealink, Rottnest Fast Ferries, Rottnest General Store, Rottnest Bakery and Hotel Rottnest among others.
Online registrations close 11 June 2026. A late-registration penalty applies for non-members from the weekend before the event. The first 300 marathon finishers receive a finisher shirt. Recorded fastest marathon times at the event include 2:47:53 for women in 2023 and 2:28:57 for men in 2019.
