VNSHS Run for the Health of It 5K Run/Walk 2027
The event is a 5K (3.1 miles) USATF certified course held in Northport on May 8, 2027. The route runs through residential roads, includes rolling hills, and incorporates 1.6 km of the historic Cow Harbor course. Police traffic control and volunteers support the course. A water station is available approximately mid-way near the east end of Oak Street.
Amenities include live, text, and email results, free finish line photos, and a BBQ sponsored by The Great Cow Harbor held after the race. Registered participants who register at least three weeks in advance are eligible to receive a personalized bib. Virtual bibs are shipped; the shipping window ranges from one week prior to the event to one week after the event. A self lookup area is available for participants who do not know their bib number.
Awards for the event include cash prizes for Top 3 overall men and women, cash prizes for Top masters and Top nurse categories, Amazon gift cards for top age group finishers across standard age brackets, and a cash prize for the largest team.
