Vivid Life Run - Jay, NY
The Vivid Life Run is a family friendly color run and walk held at The Village Green in Jay, NY. The event is organized by the Essex County Suicide Prevention Coalition together with the Hope Offering Support Team Coalitions to raise awareness of local suicide risks and to honor connection and community.
Two course options are offered:
- 1 mile course
- 5k course
Each course includes multiple color stations where participants are covered with non-toxic, biodegradable colored powder. Organizers encourage participants to wear all black at the start so the course visually represents a shift from feeling alone to becoming part of a supportive community. Registration fees include a black T-shirt while supplies last. Children five years old and under attend free.
After the run, several organizations will have tables on The Village Green. Post-run activities include live music, food, and a basket raffle. The event notes free parking and an in-person format. A refund policy is available that allows refunds up to 14 days before the event.
