Run Wyoming's Casper Marathon
The Casper Marathon is a USATF Wyoming-sanctioned running event held in the heart of Wyoming. The event provides a variety of race options for different preferences, including:
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
- Marathon Relay
- Half Marathon Relay
- 10K
- Wheelchair category
The race starts at the WYO Sports Ranch, which serves as an indoor staging area prior to the events. This facility provides participants with access to snacks, water, coffee, and indoor restrooms. A shuttle service operates on race morning to transport runners from the host hotel, the Ramkota, to the starting line. The finish line is located within walking distance of the host hotel.
Aid stations are positioned along the course at intervals of approximately every two to four miles. These stations are stocked with water, Gatorade, fruit, and basic first aid supplies. Medical personnel are stationed throughout the course, and a dedicated medical tent is available at the finish line. Post-race refreshments include pizza, sandwiches, and beverages.
Awards are presented to the overall male and female winners of the marathon and half marathon, as well as the top finishers in age categories ranging from 19 and under to 70 plus. The top relay teams also receive recognition. For safety and insurance reasons, strollers and dogs are not permitted in the marathon or half marathon, and headphones are prohibited while running on city streets.
