The Ville to Ville Sprint Relay is a 21-mile team adventure for trios, run on the scenic Swamp Rabbit Trail. Each runner tackles two of the six legs, which get progressively shorter, starting and finishing at Trailblazer Park. After the race, teams celebrate with a festive tailgate party.

Event Overview

The Ville to Ville Sprint Relay is a running relay for teams of three people. Teams complete a total distance of 21 miles. The race starts and finishes at Trailblazer Park in Travelers Rest, South Carolina. The course uses the Swamp Rabbit Trail.

Race Format

The event consists of six relay legs. Each consecutive leg is one mile shorter than the previous one. The three team members split the six legs as follows: runner one completes legs 1 and 4, runner two completes legs 2 and 5, and runner three completes legs 3 and 6. The leg distances are:

  • Leg 1 - 6 miles
  • Leg 2 - 5 miles
  • Leg 3 - 4 miles
  • Leg 4 - 3 miles
  • Leg 5 - 2 miles
  • Leg 6 - 1 mile

All teams start at 10 AM.

Registration and Fees

Registration is handled by a team captain, who pays the total team fee. Fees are non-refundable, but a team can be transferred to another captain. Registration fees increase over time, starting at $200 per team. The event has a capacity of 200 teams. Team members do not pay a fee upon joining a team. Final team rosters are due by September 1, 2026. Changes after September 20, 2026, incur a $25 fee. Team names can be changed until September 1, 2026.

Participant Information

All runners must be at least 13 years old on race day. All participants receive a long-sleeve race shirt and a finisher's medal. Strollers and pets are not allowed on the course. Packet pickup is on race day from 8:00 AM to 9:45 AM at Trailblazer Park.

Team Categories and Rules

Teams are categorized as Open, Open Co-ed, Open Female, Masters Open, Masters Co-ed, or Masters Female. Teams must have an average pace of 12 minutes per mile or faster. Teams can run with two members. Prizes are awarded to the top three teams in each category.
