Vilano Bridge 5K, 10K and 1 Mile Fun Run
The Vilano Bridge Run is an annual road event featuring a 5K, 10K, and a 1 Mile Fun Run. All races start at the Vilano Beach Community Center and Park and wind through the Vilano Beach neighborhood, crossing the Vilano Bridge with views of the Intracoastal and nearby beaches. The 10K continues through the grounds of the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind. Both races finish at North Shores Community Park where a post-race celebration includes food, beer, and music.
Entry fees vary by registration date: through February 28th the fees are $35 for the 10K, $30 for the 5K, and $15 for the 1 Mile; March 1st through March 27th the fees are $40, $35, and $15 respectively; race day fees are $50, $45, and $20. T-shirts are guaranteed for those registered prior to March 8th; later registrants may select from leftover stock while supplies last.
Packet pickup is available at the North Shores Improvement Association Community Center and at selected 1st Place Sports locations; unclaimed packets will be available at the race site on race day. Timing uses the Race Results Bib Timing Chip System and participants must cross timing mats to appear in the results. Roads reopen at the two hour mark and walkers may finish using sidewalks. Bikes and dogs are not allowed on the course. Proceeds support the North Shores Improvement Association and the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind.
