Event Summary

The Vilano Bridge Run is a scenic running event offering 5K and 10K distances, plus a 1 Mile Fun Run. The event starts at the Vilano Beach Community Center and Park. The route winds through the Vilano Beach community and crosses the Vilano Bridge, offering views of the Intracoastal Waterway and beaches. The 10K course continues through the grounds of the Florida School for the Deaf & the Blind. Both races finish at North Shores Community Park for a post-race celebration with food, beer, and music.

Course & Logistics

The courses are open for two hours; after this time, roads reopen to traffic but participants may finish using sidewalks. Bicycles and dogs are not permitted on the course. The race is timed using a bib-timing chip system.

Registration & Fees

Registration fees vary by date. For the 10K, fees range from $35 to $50. For the 5K, fees range from $30 to $45. For the 1 Mile Fun Run, fees range from $15 to $20. T-shirts are guaranteed for participants who register before March 8; later registrants may receive shirts from previous years' stock, while supplies last.

Awards & Charity

Finisher medals are awarded to all participants. Age group awards are given for the 5K and 10K races. A portion of the proceeds supports the North Shores Improvement Association for community projects and the Florida School for the Deaf & the Blind for student programs.
