Viking Turkey Trot 5K and 1 Mile Walk
The Viking Turkey Trot is the second annual community running and walking event held at Berry College in Mount Berry, Georgia on November 14, 2026. The event includes two distances:
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 1 mile walk
Race day includes on-site registration and packet pickup, pre-race announcements, the 5K and the 1 mile walk, and an awards ceremony. The event is organized rain or shine.
All registration fees will be donated to Partners In Health. Proceeds from this edition are designated to support Partners In Health efforts to combat tuberculosis in Sierra Leone, including early detection, treatment, and prevention programs. The event’s organizers describe Partners In Health as an international nonprofit that works with local governments to strengthen health systems, train local clinicians, and deliver care based on the belief that health is a human right.
This year the Partners In Health Engage chapter has partnered with the Berry College Nursing Department to support student fundraising for Global Health Service Immersion Trips to Kenya and Ecuador.
