Viking Striders Fun Run
The Viking Striders Fun Run takes place in Valders, Wisconsin, with the main event area located at 420 N Liberty St. This athletic event features multiple distances and categories for different age groups. Participants can choose between individual races or a combined challenge.
The available events include:
- 2 Mile Run
- 5 Mile Run
- Iron Viking (2 mile and 5 mile combined)
- Half mile kids run
- 50 yard dash
The Iron Viking category is a special option for those who choose to complete both the 2 mile and 5 mile races. Individuals who finish both of these distances are awarded an Iron Viking Trophy. For the standard races, the event recognizes top performers with trophies for the first-place overall male and female finishers. Additionally, the first through third-place finishers in each age division receive medals.
Age divisions are standardized for both male and female participants, ranging from ages 10 and under up to 60 and over. Youth-specific events are also available, including a half mile run for children under 11 and a 50 yard dash for children under 8. All participants in these youth categories receive ribbons.
