Viking Striders Fun Run
A community running event on August 1, 2026, held at 420 N Liberty St, Valders, Wisconsin. The program includes multiple distance races, a combined entry option called the Iron Viking, and youth running activities in the park.
Distances offered:
- 2 Miles
- 5 Miles
- 7 Miles (Iron Viking - 2 in 1 Special!)
Registration opens January 26, 2026. Early registration ends at midnight on July 26; early fees are $15 for a single race and $25 for the Iron Viking entry that includes both the 2 mile and 5 mile races. Registration beginning July 27 has fees of $20 for a single race and $30 for the Iron Viking. Shirts are available for purchase for $10 each. To be guaranteed a shirt, complete registration by July 21.
Awards and divisions are provided for male and female competitors. A first place trophy is awarded to the male and female overall winner in each race. Medals are awarded first through third in each age division. Age divisions for both male and female are: 0-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, 17-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 plus.
Course maps are available for the 2 mile and 5 mile routes. Youth activities include a half mile kids run in the park for participants under 11 and a 50 yard dash for participants under 8; ribbons are given to participants in these youth events.
