Viewpoint Endurance Challenge
The Viewpoint Endurance Challenge is a timed running event in Whittier, NC on October 17, 2026. The event offers multiple timed race options so participants are credited for the distance they complete within the chosen time period.

- 24 hour timed event
- 12 hour timed event
- 6 hour timed event
- 3 hour timed event
The course is 1.4 miles per loop, composed of a 1.0 mile hard packed gravel loop connected to a 0.4 mile asphalt loop. Each loop has about 118 ft of elevation gain and 100 ft of elevation loss. The loop passes the main conference center where bathrooms and showers are located, and aid station support and port a johns are available each loop.
Lap keeping uses an electronic chip or tag, and there is an option for participants to self keep laps on a large white board. Canopy tents may be set up on the course in permitted areas to allow self support and crew access. On-site lodging options include hotel rooms, bunk houses, an RV park, and tent camping.
