Event overview
The Viewpoint Endurance Challenge is a timed running event held October 17-18, 2026 in Whittier, NC (87 Vinewood Circle, 28789). The event offers multiple timed race options:

The format credits participants with the distance they cover within the chosen time period. Lap counts are recorded with a spreadsheet and a peg board. Participants are not required to complete the full time limit to receive credit for miles covered.
Course and facilities
The course is a 1.4 mile loop made of a 1.0 mile hard-packed gravel loop connected to a 0.4 mile asphalt loop. Each loop has about 118 ft of elevation gain and 100 ft of elevation loss. Runners pass the main conference center, which has bathrooms and showers, on each loop. A main aid station and portable toilets are located on the loop. Canopy tents may be set up in permitted areas for self-support and crew access. On-site lodging options are available, including hotel rooms, bunk houses, an RV park, and tent camping.
