Viewpoint Endurance Challenge
The Viewpoint Endurance Challenge is a timed running and rucking event held in Whittier, NC on October 17, 2026. The event offers multiple timed distances and rucking divisions for men and women. Distances include:
- 24 hour event
- 12 hour event
- 6 hour event
- 6 hour ruck division
- 3 hour ruck division
- 3 hour event
The course is a 1.4 mile loop that combines a 1.0 mile hard packed gravel section with a 0.4 mile asphalt loop. Each loop has about 118 ft of elevation gain and 100 ft of elevation loss. Participants pass the main conference center, an aid station, and restroom facilities each lap. A lap keeping system is used with chip or tag timing and an option for self lap keeping on a central white board.
Rucking divisions specify weight requirements for competitors. Twenty four hour finishers who complete a specified minimum number of laps receive a custom belt buckle. Canopy tents are permitted in approved areas along the course for crew access and self support. The venue provides on site lodging options including hotel rooms, bunk houses, an RV park, and tent camping. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
