VICTORY RACES : Marathon, Half, and 5K
The Vermillion Trails Alliance hosts the fourth annual Victory Races on April 11, 2026 at Vermillion Rise Mega Park, 1051 W Indiana Ave, Hillsdale, IN. The event includes a USATF certified Boston qualifier marathon course set on paved roads within a former military munitions compound that retains visible outposts and manufacturing facilities from mid 1900s military use.
Course layouts are described as follows. The full marathon is run as two laps of the certified course. The half marathon and the 5K each follow a single loop through the venue. Aid provisions are specified: the half marathon has four water and aid stations spaced about every 2.5 to 3 miles, the full marathon has eight stations, and the 5K has a station about halfway. Each aid station offers water, Gatorade, orange slices and granola bar chunks. Portable toilets are placed on course near mile 7 for half marathon runners and at corresponding laps for marathon runners, with additional toilets at the finish area.
Race items and discounts include unique bib numbers, finisher medals for all finishers, military themed race shirts, and discounts for veterans and for Vermillion and Parke County students and staff. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
