12th Annual Veterans’ Remembrance 4 Miler
The Veterans’ Remembrance 4 Miler is an annual race hosted by the Ellsworth YMCA to honor past and present members of the armed forces. The event takes place at the Ellsworth YMCA / Wiggins Center, 238 State Street, Ellsworth, Maine, and is presented as a community remembrance run each November.
The event format allows participants to walk or run and to carry a flag or wear a weighted vest. Veterans who have served may enter free of charge and can register in person at the Ellsworth YMCA in the Wiggins Center to participate for free. Details and registration information for the current year are listed as to be announced. First National Bank is named as a sponsor; thanks to that sponsorship, the top male and female veterans and the top two males and females in each decade age group receive a remembrance medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
