About the race
The 12th Annual Veterans’ Remembrance 4 Miler is a community race held each year to honor past and present veterans and to remind them they are appreciated and not forgotten. The event takes place at the Ellsworth YMCA / Wiggins Center in Ellsworth, Maine, at 238 State Street.
Participants may walk or run, and may carry a flag or wear a weighted vest during the event. Veterans who have served may enter free of charge; veterans can register in person at the Ellsworth YMCA in the Wiggins Center. Details and registration information are listed as to be announced.
Thanks to a sponsoring organization, remembrance medals are awarded to the top male and female veterans and to the top two males and females in each decade age group.
