Veterans Memorial 5K - Marietta
The Veterans Memorial 5K is presented by American Legion Post 29 and takes place at Marietta Square, 1 Cherokee Street, Marietta, GA 30060. The event includes a 5K run/walk/wheelchair division, a Tot Trot for children, and a Phantom Runner option that provides a t shirt only.
Proceeds are designated to assist local veterans and military families and to support the Shepherds Men SHARE Initiative, the Georgia National Guard Family Support Foundation, and the Post 29 Service Officer. Awards are listed for overall male and female, overall male and female master, and the top three male and female finishers across 15 age groups from 10 and under through 70 and over.
Early packet pickup is scheduled at Big Peach Running Co., Woodland Point Crossing, 1062 Johnson Ferry Rd, Marietta, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on the Thursday before the event. Additional packet pickup will be available at American Legion Post 29 at 921 Gresham Ave, Marietta, from noon to 4:00 pm on the Friday before the event. Race day packet pickup and late registration begin the morning of the event.
