2026 Veteran’s Lorton 5k, 10k & 1 Mile
The event on November 7, 2026 offers timed road races on a paved bike path at Mason Neck State Park. Points from this event count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, Kids and Back of the Pack series and toward the Fall Series. Walkers are welcome and a virtual race option is available.

The course is mostly flat and the 5k and 10k are out-and-back routes. The event is chip timed and entrants receive a finisher’s medal and a technical performance shirt. T-shirt sizes are guaranteed for those registered before October 28; additional shirts may be available afterwards on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration prices include the park entrance fee for the 5k and 10k and increase on race morning.
Support along the course includes water stations (three on the 10k and one on the 5k) with Gatorade available at some stations. Restrooms are located near the flagpole. Live results are posted on Athlinks and via a race-day QR code, with final results and series points posted the Monday after the event.
Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to age group finishers in standard age brackets. The event partners with Operation Turbo for charity activities.
