Veteran's Day 5K - Danville
The event is the 10th annual Veteran's Day 5K fundraiser held in support of American Legion Post 210. It is a community running event taking place in November 2026 in Danville, Illinois, at 201 Prospect Place.
The course is a 5K (3.1 miles) loop that starts and finishes at the legion and runs through a nearby residential neighborhood. The route is generally flat with some short hills. Participants may use strollers. Pets are not allowed for liability reasons.
Online registration is available through November 6. The standard registration fee is $20, with an increased race day fee of $30 for the race only. Packet pickup is available on race day at the legion and includes the race bib and a shirt if one was ordered. Shirts will not be held after the race start; additional shirts will be available for sale and order on race day. No refunds or transfers are permitted for this fundraising event.
Funds raised support American Legion programs such as assistance for local veterans with clothing, food, and blessing bags, and building improvements including updates to handicapped restrooms. The legion will provide refreshments, and the event includes post-race chili and desserts, a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle, and a guest speaker from Gateway Family Service.
