10th Annual Veteran's Day 5K Fundraiser
The Veteran's Day 5K is an annual fundraising event held in Danville, Illinois, benefiting the American Legion Post 210. The funds raised through this event support local veterans by providing clothing, food, and "blessing bags," as well as contributing to building improvements for the American Legion facilities.

The course begins at the American Legion Post 210, located at 201 Prospect Place. It follows a loop through a northern residential neighborhood before returning to the starting point. The terrain is described as generally flat with some inclines. Participation is open to those who wish to run, walk, or jog, and the use of strollers is permitted. Due to liability requirements, pets are not allowed on the course.
Pre-race ceremonies include the Pledge of Allegiance and the National Anthem, followed by a send-off from the American Legion Post 210 Honor Guard. Following the race, participants can attend an after-party at the legion featuring refreshments, including chili and desserts. The post-race activities also include a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle. Registration is available online in advance or on-site on the day of the event.
