The Veterans Day 5K, 10K & Ruck takes place on November 7, 2026 at the Midland College campuses, 3600 N Garfield St, Midland, TX. The event is organized as part of Veterans Day activities and is aligned with USA 250, commemorating 250 years of American independence.

The Official 5K Ruck replaces traditional ruck weight with canned goods. Participants should pack canned goods inside the backpack or ruck they will carry. Men carry a minimum of 30 pounds and women a minimum of 20 pounds. Qualifying finishers receive a finisher medal and a commemorative USA 250 Veterans Day Ruck Patch. All donated canned goods will be given to the West Texas Food Bank.
The Veterans Day Kids 1K is presented as a free, family-friendly run within the morning's activities. Approximately 100 medals from the 2025 Veterans Day event have been reserved for Kids 1K participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
