MPD Pursuit 1K & 5K
The MPD Pursuit 1K and 5K take place at the Midland Police Department, 601 N Loraine St, Midland, TX 79701. The event includes a short fun run for children and a 5-kilometer run or walk for other participants. Packet pickup is available at Midland Athletic Company on the days before the race.
Distances:
- 1K - kids run and walk, parents may accompany children
- 5K - run or walk a 5-kilometer route at participant pace
The 1K is designed for children and families and focuses on a short, accessible course. The 5K allows participants to walk, jog, or run the full distance. A timed 14:46 Challenge is part of the 5K: there is a 1.5 mile split and participants who complete that portion within 14 minutes and 46 seconds will receive a surprise gift after the race.
The event has a superhero theme and participants are encouraged to dress as their favorite superhero. A portion of event proceeds will go to Teen F.L.O.W. Youth Ministry.
