MPD Pursuit 1K & 5K - Midland, TX, August 8, 2026
The MPD Pursuit event includes two course options held at the Midland Police Department, 601 N Loraine St, Midland, TX 79701. Distances offered include:
- 1K Kids Run/Walk - short course for children; parents may accompany.
- 5K Run/Walk - 5 kilometer route for walkers, joggers, and runners; includes a 1.5 mile split.
The 1.5 mile split within the 5K is used for the 14:46 Challenge. Participants who complete that split within 14 minutes and 46 seconds will receive a surprise gift after the race. A portion of the event proceeds will be donated to Teen F.L.O.W. Youth Ministry.
Packet pickup is available at Midland Athletic Company on the day before and the morning of the event. Parking is available at several nearby lots and addresses around downtown Midland, including 411 S Main St, 500 N Loraine St, 300 W Illinois Ave, 405 N Main St, 301 N Main St, 108 E Texas Ave, and 106 W Louisiana Ave.
Vendors listed for the event include Black Rifle Coffee Company, Wildflower Wellness, AT&T, and F45 North Midland. Registration opens May 16, 2026 and closes May 31, 2026.
