MPD Pursuit 1K & 5K
The MPD Pursuit 1K and 5K is a community running event on August 8, 2026 at the Midland Police Department, 601 N Loraine St, Midland, TX 79701. The event brings together community members, first responders, and supporters to honor the dedication and service of law enforcement officers.
Distances offered:
- 1K Kids Run/Walk for children; parents may accompany.
- 5K Run/Walk with a 1.5 mile split challenge.
The 1K is a short-distance kids run/walk designed for young participants and families. Parents are welcome to walk or run alongside children during the course.
The 5K is offered as a run or walk along a 5 kilometer route. The event includes a 14 minutes 46 seconds Challenge: a timed 1.5 mile split within the 5K and a surprise gift for participants who meet the time standard.
Packet pickup is available Friday, August 7 at Midland Athletic Company, 3326 N Midkiff Rd, and also on race morning at the Midland Police Department. Parking is available at several nearby lots including 411 S Main St and 500 N Loraine St. A portion of proceeds will support Teen F.L.O.W. Youth Ministry.
