Rock the Rind Tall City Triathlon : Midland, TX
Rock the Rind is a sprint triathlon scheduled for July 25, 2026 at COM Aquatics in Midland, Texas. The event offers both individual and relay entries and includes a post race family swim party at the pool. The transition area is located in the COM Aquatics parking lot.
The race distances are:
- 500 meter swim
- 11 mile bike
- 3.1 mile run
The swim takes place as a long course snake swim in the main pool of the FMH Foundation Natatorium. After the swim athletes enter T1 in the parking lot and begin an out and back 11 mile bike course that uses Loop 250 service roads and heads west toward Wadley and Fairgrounds. After T2 the run is an out and back 3.1 mile route through Windlands Park toward North I Street.
Relay teams must consist of two or three participants; two person teams split legs so one participant completes two legs, while three person teams assign one leg per participant. The team captain pays the team entry fee and all team members must register individually so they can sign required waivers and designate their relay leg.
Water is provided in the transition area with one water station on the 5K run course. Packet pick up is available the day before at Midland Athletic Company and on race morning at COM Aquatics.
