Veterans Count Pack & Boots 5K Road Race and 1 Mile Survival Run
This event takes place on July 5, 2026 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire at Peirce Island. It combines a Survival Run, a 5K run and walk, and a short kids fun run. Online registration closes July 2, 2026 at 12:00 noon ET.
The Survival Run requires participants to bring their own pack weighing approximately 10 percent of their body weight. Entry categories include veteran entries with no fee, youth and adult fee categories, and combined entries for those who wish to do both the Survival Run and the 5K. A 100 meter kids fun run is provided for young children.
Event merchandise and donations are available during registration. A limited number of event t-shirts will be sold on race day with multiple sizes and youth options. Veterans Count is the event beneficiary; since 2007 the organization has provided financial assistance and services to service members, veterans, and their families and reports allocating 90 percent of net dollars raised to program services.
