Veteran Games Gold Coast 2026
Veteran Games Gold Coast takes place 20 and 21 June 2026 at Broadwater Parklands, Marine Parade, Southport, Queensland. The event presents a series of military inspired team heats for veterans and a separate public challenge that runs on both days.
Veteran heats are for current and former serving personnel. Teams consist of eight to ten veterans. Entry for veteran teams is free but requires registration and selection of a preferred competition day; teams receive an allocated time slot before the event. Team uniform requirements include camouflage pants, boots, and a team shirt supplied by the team. Each team completes one obstacle course and two military style events that are announced on the day. Each event runs for up to ten minutes and is judged on time, technique and teamwork. The winning team is eligible to be fully sponsored to attend and compete at the Veteran Games Finals and successful participants receive an official invitation to the finals event.
The Veteran Games Challenge is open to the general public, civilians and fitness enthusiasts. Participants enter as pairs and pay A$75 per person. The challenge combines obstacles, static fitness exercises and a 500 metre military style run between stations with a target completion time of about 30 minutes.
