Veteran Games Gold Coast 2026
Veteran Games Gold Coast 2026 takes place at Broadwater Parklands, Marine Parade, Southport, Queensland on 20 and 21 June 2026. The program separates veteran team heats from a public fitness challenge and uses a military inspired competition format.
The Veterans Heats are for current and former serving personnel. Teams of 8-10 veterans compete; entry is free but registration is required and competitors select a preferred competition day. Teams receive an allocated time slot before the event. Team uniform requirements note cam pants, boots and a team shirt supplied by the team. Each team completes one obstacle course and two military style events that are announced on the day. Each event runs for up to 10 minutes and is assessed on time, technique and teamwork. The winning team is eligible for full sponsorship to attend the Veteran Games Finals and successful participants receive an official invitation to the Finals.
The Veteran Games Challenge is open to the public. Participants compete in pairs and the fee is A$75 per person; entries must be made as pairs. The course combines obstacles, static fitness exercises and a 500 m military style run between stations, with a target completion time of about 30 minutes. Recommended clothing is comfortable active wear, long pants, a T shirt and boots or sneakers. Registration periods for the listed sessions run from 28 February to 12 June 2026.
