About the race
The Vernal Equinox 48-24-12-8 Hour Run is an ultrarunning event on March 27-29, 2026, at Majestic Farm in Batavia, Ohio. It offers four timed events: 48-hour, 24-hour, 12-hour, and 8-hour runs. The course is a 2-mile loop through wooded trails, meadows, and a gravel road. Participants can reserve free, clean horse stalls near the start/finish for personal storage and use a barn area. The event is a cupless race; a reusable cup is provided. A 12-hour rucking division is also available.

- 48-hour run (Friday to Sunday)
- 24-hour run (Saturday to Sunday)
- 12-hour run (Saturday daytime)
- 8-hour run (Saturday daytime)
Cash prizes are offered for beating the 48-hour and 24-hour course records. Typical ultrarunning food, homemade soup, grilled cheese, and coffee are available at the aid station, with vegan options. Belt buckles are awarded for runners achieving 100, 150, and 200 miles within their event timeframe. The organizer, Empower Ultras, is a women-owned company. The event has an Athletes With Disability (AWD) division for visually impaired and mobility-impaired athletes who can complete the course on foot; the course is not suitable for wheelchairs.
