Matt's 5K Pursuit - Cincinnati, OH
The 21st Annual Matt's 5K Pursuit takes place on April 12, 2026 in Cincinnati, Ohio at 4521 Spring Grove Ave. The event is organized to support Matt's Foundation and its work funding law enforcement K9 units; the foundation has funded 131 K9s totaling over $1.4 million. In 2025 the foundation assisted ten police departments by funding 16 K9s, equipment, and training totaling over $210,000.
The event includes multiple 5K options:
- 5K Run/Walk TIMED
- 5K Run/Walk Not Timed
- 5K Virtual Run/Walk
- 5K Child (10 & Younger)
Pre-registration closes March 31. Participants who pre-register by that date and pick up in person are guaranteed an event t-shirt; late registrants receive shirts while supplies last. Shirt and bib pickup is available at Queen City Running, 5819 Cheviot Road, and also at the event. After March 31 registration continues online and on race day for an additional late fee and without a guaranteed shirt. Sponsorships are accepted through March 31. Virtual participants must upload their time by April 12 to be eligible for medal consideration.
