Crystal Cove Trail Run - December 12, 2026
The Crystal Cove Trail Run is the grand finale of the 2026 SoCalTrail season, organized by SoCalTrail and held at Crystal Cove State Park, El Moro (8471 N. Coast Highway, Laguna Beach, CA 92651). The event offers trail races on single track and fire road with notable terrain features and marked courses.
Distances:
- 15K (El Moro) : 9.35 miles, 1,647' of elevation
- 6K : 4.1 miles, 696' of elevation
- Kids 1K (Under 14) : 0.52 miles, 22' of elevation
Course details note fire road climbs, ridgeline descents and single-track sections; the 15K route includes features named Rock Garden, Elevator and the Wall. All courses are marked with flour, ribbons and directional signs. The 15K course has three aid stations providing water, Skratch Hydration and Crank e-Gels; the 6K has one similar aid station.
Participant inclusions listed for all entrants include race shirts (female/male options), hand-crafted finisher medals, free course photography, breakfast with plant-based options, access to a 21+ beer garden, sports massage services and same-day results. Awards comprise age-group trophies for male and female categories and overall podium awards; the 15K carries a $2,000 prize purse with cash prizes for top finishers. On-site race-day parking is available for a $15 fee (card only); overflow parking is located at the Reef Parking Lot about one mile north on Pacific Coast Highway.
