Crystal Cove Trail Run : Crystal Cove State Park, El Moro
The event is the grand finale of the 2026 SoCalTrail season at Crystal Cove State Park, El Moro, located at 8471 N. Coast Highway in Laguna Beach, California. The program offers three distances:
- 15K
- 6K
- Kids 1k (Under 14)
The El Moro 15K covers 9.35 miles with 1,647 feet of elevation gain and includes features named the Rock Garden, Elevator and the Wall. The 6K covers 4.1 miles with 696 feet of elevation gain. The Kids 1k route measures 0.52 miles with 22 feet of elevation gain. Courses include fire road climbs, ridgeline descents and single track; all routes are marked with flour, ribbons and directional signs.
The 15K has three aid stations offering water, Skratch Hydration and Crank e-Gels. The 6K has one similar aid station. The 15K prize purse totals $2,000 with payouts for top finishers.
Included amenities for participants: race shirts, hand-crafted finisher medals, free course photography, breakfast with plant-based options, post-race beer garden for 21 and older, sports massage, sponsor giveaways, finish line announcers and music, same day results and professional medical support. On-site parking is $15, card only. Overflow parking is available at the Reef Parking Lot about one mile north on Pacific Coast Highway.
