Run and Walk at Vantage Career Center
The Vantage 5K is a community sports event held in Van Wert, Ohio. The course is set around and near the Vantage Career Center campus and the surrounding public roads. Participants can choose between two distinct distances:
- 3.1 Miles: A timed run or walk through the campus and local roads.
- 1 Mile: A youth fun run specifically for children between the ages of 5 and 10.
The 3.1 Miles event utilizes chip timing to record participant results. A water stop is positioned along the route to provide hydration during the activity. Participants who register by the early deadline of April 8, 2026, receive a race-day T-shirt. On the day of the event, refreshments are provided for those taking part in the main race.
Awards are presented to the overall champions as well as the top three finishers in each designated age group. For the youth participants in the 1 Mile fun run, the course stays within the Vantage campus. Every child who completes the fun run receives a finisher token and a snack.
