Swim caps provided must be worn and lifeguards plus volunteers patrol the course. Wetsuit use follows event rules and the swim may be cancelled if water temperature reaches unsafe levels.
The bike course follows Park Drive and is completed in multiple laps depending on distance. Drafting is prohibited, helmets meeting applicable standards are required, and cyclists are responsible for their own mechanical repairs. Course marshals and volunteers will assist with traffic control and safety.
The run follows the Seawall through English Bay to a turnaround near Burrard Bridge with aid stations at the transition exit and the Inukshuk turnaround. The transition area is at Ceperley Field east of Second Beach and is secured for athletes. Relay teams of two or three may exchange at the designated bike spot in transition.
The Standard distance is noted as sold out except for entries via Tri For Charity. All athletes must hold valid provincial triathlon membership or obtain day insurance for race coverage. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
