2026 Vancouver Triathlon
The Vancouver Triathlon has been a premier urban multisport event in Western Canada since 2004. Celebrating its 24th anniversary, the race is staged at Ceperley Park in the heart of Stanley Park. The venue provides a natural setting featuring ocean views, forested roads, and the city's seawall.
The event offers a variety of distances and formats:
- Standard (Olympic): 1.5 km Swim, 40 km Bike, and 10 km Run.
- Sprint: 750 m Swim, 20 km Bike, and 5 km Run.
- Super Sprint / Try-A-Tri: 375 m Swim, 10 km Bike, and 2.5 km Run.
- Duathlon: 5 km Run, 20 km Bike, and 5 km Run.
- Relay Options: Available for both Standard and Sprint distances.
Participants compete on fully supported, closed-course cycling and running routes. Each entry includes chip timing, professional event management, finisher medals, and post-race refreshments. Athletes registered before August 18 also receive a commemorative race shirt.
Participation requires a valid annual membership or a one-day insurance fee through a provincial triathlon association such as Triathlon BC. The event also features a "Tri for Charity" program, where athletes can access a reduced entry fee by committing to a minimum fundraising goal for partner organizations, including the Stanley Park Ecology Society and Ronald McDonald House.
