Handloggers Half Marathon
Handloggers Half Marathon is a trail race and relay covering 21 km in a counter clockwise loop around Mt. Gardner on Bowen Island, British Columbia. Bowen Island is about a 20 minute ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver, British Columbia.
The course follows forested trails and includes island viewpoints. The event is supported by local volunteers and sponsors, and the race partners with the Bowen Island Trail Society as its charity.
The race is held annually, usually on Labour Day Saturday. For 2026 the live event date is listed as September 5, 2026, and registration opens April 21, 2026. Organizers maintain a waitlist and allow registration transfers.
A Race Day Ready training program is described as a 14 week clinic designed to prepare runners; that clinic was not offered in 2024.
