Handloggers Half Marathon - 21 km mountain trail and relay
The 12th annual Handloggers Half Marathon is scheduled for September 5, 2026 in Snug Cove on Bowen Island, British Columbia. The event is a 21 km counter clockwise loop on mountain trails around Mt. Gardner.
The race uses a single start with chip timing and starts and finishes near the ferry dock in Snug Cove. It can be run individually or as a relay by teams of three, with handoffs occurring at the aid stations on course.
There are three aid stations along the route. Drinks, snacks and prizes are available at the finish area. Participants are encouraged to bring a reusable cup for use at aid stations and at the finish to reduce waste.
Proceeds support the Bowen Island Trail Society, the Bowen Island Conservancy and other community causes on Bowen Island. All participants must hold a valid BC Athletics membership; those without current membership must purchase a Day of Event Membership during registration for $5.00.
