About the race
Bowen Island Rotary Run 2026 takes place on August 29, 2026 in Snug Cove on Bowen Island. The event offers running and walking options on trails in Crippen Park, with a revised start and finish at the Lagoon bridge because of construction at the ferry dock.
Distances available include:
- 10K run
- 5K run or walk
- 1.0K kids run
The course follows trails through Crippen Park and returns to the lagoon area. Prize giving will occur on the Library lawn after the races. Online registration opens on June 15 and closes on August 28; on-site registrations are also accepted on the event day. Organizers encourage team registration; teams must include more than two people. A family pack option is offered for up to five family members, and family members must be recorded individually under the family option during registration.
Proceeds and donations are directed to Komera Canada, a registered Canadian charity that supports young women in Rwanda at high school and university. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
