Port Alberni - Vancouver Island Trail Running Series
The event takes place on June 5, 2027 at EJ Dunn Elementary School Track, 3500 Argyle St, Port Alberni, BC. The organizers acknowledge that the event occurs on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Tseshaht and Hupačasath First Nation.
Distances:
- 22 km, 500 m vertical gain, 4 aid stations
- 10 km, 220 m vertical gain, 2 aid stations
- Approx 1 km; fees support the Alberni Valley Rescue Squad
Course maps and downloadable route files are provided. The event is cupless; participants must bring a personal drinking container or may purchase a cup from the merch tent. Aid stations offer water, Gatorade and a selection of fruit and snacks.
There is ample street parking near the venue; do not block driveways and avoid parking at the Gymnastics or Rugby Club. Carpooling is encouraged. Bib pick up requires a government issued photo ID and is staggered by distance: long course 9:00 to 10:00, short course 9:45 to 10:30, and kids race 9:00 to 10:00. Volunteers will serve post-race fuel at the finish line and there will be draw prizes from sponsors. Registration opens December 4, 2026.
