Event Overview
This event is part of the Frontrunners Vancouver Island Trail Running Series, described as Vancouver Island's premiere trail running series. It takes place in Port Alberni, with the start and finish at E.J. Dunn Elementary School on Argyle Street. The trails in the area are characterized as technical, fast, flowy, beautiful, and fun. A post-race barbecue is planned.
Distances and Course
Participants can choose from two main trail running distances:
- Long Course: Approximately 22 km with 530 meters of vertical gain.
- Short Course: Approximately 10 km with 250 meters of vertical gain.
A separate Kid's Race is also offered. The courses are available for viewing on Strava.
Registration and Fees
Online registration opens on December 5, 2025. It closes on June 4, 2026. Fees increase as the event date approaches. The listed registration fees include a 5% GST. Fees are payable in Canadian funds. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
