Oceanside Mother’s Day 10 km Run and 5 km Run/Walk in Qualicum Beach
The Oceanside Mother’s Day event hosted by ORCA is scheduled for May 10, 2026, in the Town of Qualicum Beach. The start and finish are on the grounds of the Qualicum Beach Legion on Veterans Way, the site of the Saturday Farmer's Market.
Distances offered
- 5 km Run/Walk open to runners and walkers
- 10 km Run restricted to runners only
The course is fully paved and uses the Dollymount Trail plus town streets. It passes through urban forests, hobby farms and quiet residential areas. The 5 km is one circuit and the 10 km is a slightly modified two lap version. Over 70 percent of the route is shaded.
Practical information and rules
Total registration is limited to 500 participants. Entry fees are non refundable and non transferable between participants; transfers between sub events are permitted for a fee until May 6, 2026. Race numbers are picked up on event day at the Legion. Participants under 19 years of age must present a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
Safety and facilities
Dogs, roller blades, bikes, skateboards and earbuds are not allowed on the course. Only registered participants may be on course. Baby strollers and joggers are permitted but must start at the back of the field. Portable washrooms will be available at the start/finish and limited indoor facilities are provided at the Legion. Timing and results are provided by Startline Timing.
Community and post race
The event supports Parksville Haven Society and Forward House Community Society. Registered participants receive post race refreshments and draw prizes are awarded during the results presentations to those present. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
