Oceanside Mother’s Day 10 km and 5 km in Qualicum Beach
The ORCA Oceanside Mother’s Day event takes place on May 10, 2026 in the Town of Qualicum Beach. The start and finish are on the grounds of the Qualicum Beach Legion (Br.76) on Veterans Way near the Saturday farmer’s market.
Both courses are fully paved and use the Dollymount Trail alongside town streets. The route passes through urban forest, small hobby farms and quiet residential areas. The 5 km course is one lap and the 10 km follows a slightly modified loop completed twice. More than 70 percent of the route is shaded.
Participation and safety details: total registration is limited to 500 participants. Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Race numbers not picked up before the event start will be treated as a donation to the supported charities. For safety, dogs, roller blades, bikes, skateboards and earphones are not allowed on the course. Only registered participants may be on the course. Baby strollers and jogging strollers are permitted in both events but must start at the very back of their field.
Facilities and services: portable washrooms will be available at the start/finish and limited indoor facilities at the Legion. The event supports the Parksville Haven Society and the Forward House Community Society.
