Vancouver First Responders Half Marathon - Trail Edition
The Vancouver First Responders Half Marathon - Trail Edition is a trail running event at Sasamat Trail on West 16th Avenue in Vancouver, BC. The event raises awareness for first responders and supports partnered charities, including the Canadian Mental Health Association BC Division and Wounded Warriors Canada. Fundraising progress and a fundraising goal are displayed for the event.
Race distances offered:
- 21 km half marathon
- 10 km
- 5 km Frontline
There are also team entries for the 21 km and 10 km races. Team details: teams of four runners, not a relay; all team members run together; team results are calculated from the average of individual times; individual times are recorded. If team members fail to complete the course, remaining runners receive only individual results and no team time.
Entry packages include a short-sleeve cotton running shirt (sizes not guaranteed after October 15), a finisher medal, chip timing with live results (subject to minimum participation and possible manual timing), stocked aid stations, post-race snacks, and eligibility for draw prizes. Online registration closes October 31, 2026 or when capacity is reached. By December 31, 2026 participants must be at least 16 years old for the half marathon and at least 10 years old for the 10 km; participants under 18 require parental or guardian permission.
