The Valley Vineyards Haunted Wine Run 5k takes place on October 4, 2025 at Valley Vineyards Winery & Brewery in Morrow, OH (2276 US-22 & 3, Morrow, OH 45152). The event distance is 5k and it is chip timed and scored by a professional timing company. Results are posted online.
Details
The course begins at the vineyard, follows a short portion on the road, then continues as an out-and-back on a nearby bike trail. Registration includes a ring-spun cotton t-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a wine-glass-shaped finisher medal, a chip-timed race bib, and a pour of wine (minors receive a discounted registration that includes shirt, medal and bib but not a wine glass or wine pour). Packet pickup is tentatively scheduled for the evening before the race at the winery; race-day pickup is available starting one hour before a participant’s chosen start time. Free race photos will be available for download.
The event offers age-group awards for the top three finishers male and female in ten-year age categories through 80+. Age-group winners must start with the first wave to be eligible; awards are available only on race day. The race will proceed rain or shine unless severe weather requires a delay. A virtual participation option is available; shipped packets incur a handling fee. A local cancer-support organization provides volunteer support.
