Valley Nature Run - 16th Annual
Valley Nature Run is a road and trail event of roughly 4.4 miles presented by the Syracuse Track Club. The course now includes a loop along Webster Pond and sections through the Rand Tract trails to show where race proceeds are used. Proceeds support the Webster Duck Pond and other local valley organizations.
The run starts and finishes at Meachem Field on W. Seneca Turnpike in Syracuse. The route follows Salina south, turns onto Dorwin, continues onto Valley Drive, enters the Rand Tract trails near the Methodist Church, exits onto Chaffee, and returns past Clary Middle School to Meachem Field.
Registration is online only; no cash or paper registrations are accepted. Listed entry options include an in-person 4.4 mile race, a Virtual 4.4 mile option, and a Kids Run that is not timed. Entry fees indicated by the organizer include a lower rate for youth aged 10 to 18 with a preregistration requirement by the Friday before race day. Packet pickup is offered the evening before at Gannon's Ice Cream in the Valley, 1525 Valley Drive, Syracuse, NY, and on the morning of the event.
Volunteer opportunities are available to support event operations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
