Valley 4th RUN - Harrisonburg, Virginia
The Valley 4th RUN is a July 4 road event held in downtown Harrisonburg, Virginia. The event offers three distance options: a 1.5 mile, a 5K, and a 10K, and it is a chip-timed race. An optional 40 ft. inflatable slip n slide is installed at the finish line.
Preregistration prices are listed by distance: 1.5 mile $27, 5K $32, and 10K $37. Important registration deadlines include June 23 as the deadline to be guaranteed a shirt, and July 3 at 12pm as the deadline to register online. Packet pickup is scheduled on July 3 from 2pm to 7pm at Pale Fire Brewing; walkup registration will be available at a $5 price increase. There is no race day packet pickup.
The event accommodates running, walking, and rolling. Wheelchair racers and participants using strollers are explicitly welcomed and encouraged. The format allows participants to choose one of the three distances for the event, with the option to select a different distance in future years.
