Valentine's Heartbreaker Marathon & Relay
Valentine's Heartbreaker Marathon & Relay takes place on February 14, 2027, at Country Park in Greensboro, North Carolina. The event is built around repeated laps of the Country Park loop and offers both solo and team relay formats.
Event options include:
- Solo Division: 16 laps, 26.2 miles
- 2 person relay teams
- 4 person relay teams
- 5 to 8 person relay teams
Relays use a baton and baton chip for timing while solo runners use bib chip timing. Teams must alternate runners and complete individual laps in sequence to be eligible for awards; for example, a four person team alternates so each runner completes every fourth lap. Team registration is per person; each team member registers and pays individually. A designated team captain collects hoodies, batons, bibs, and packet items at packet pickup.
Every registered participant receives a hoodie, a finisher medal, and post-race food. Hoodie sizing is guaranteed only for those who register at least three weeks before the race. Registered runners aged 21 and over are eligible to receive a brew from Oden Brewing. The event provides chip timing and multiple award categories based on team size, gender composition, combined age or combined weight.
