2027 Valentine's Day 5k & Half
This event takes place on February 14, 2027 and offers two race distances along the C&O Canal path in Washington, DC. The courses use a light gravel trail with minimal elevation change and are run as out-and-back routes.

The half marathon starts and finishes in Georgetown near the Potomac Boat Club. The 5 km starts and finishes at Fletcher's Boathouse. Walkers and strollers are welcome. A virtual race option is available for participants who cannot attend in person.
Participants receive a finisher's medal, a technical (Drifit) event shirt, and chip timed results. The half marathon includes a 3 hour 15 minute time limit for completion. Water stations are provided along the course; the half marathon has seven stations at approximate mile markers 1.55, 3.8, 4.3, 6.55, 8.8, 9.3 and 11.55, and the 5 km has one station near mile 1.55. Gatorade is available at some stations. Port-a-johns are located near the check-in area. Packet pickup is available at the event and there will be no on-site race registration.
Live results are posted online and final results with series points are published after the event. Awards recognize the top three men and women overall and age group winners. Points count toward the Year-Long 5k, Endurance, Back of the Pack, and Winter series. The event supports Habitat DC-NOVA. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
